The Apple iPhone SE is Apples latest most affordable iPhone but the stuff you get in this phone are pretty incredible. So what do you actually get if you decide to buy the new Apple iPhone SE?
Let's start with the the thing that makes the iphone work and thats the chip inside the iPhone. The Apple iPhone SE has the the A13 Bionic chip on board. Whats crazy about this is it's exactly the same chip that is found in the Apple iPhone 11 Pro. Thats crazy insane, especially when you consider the basic iPhone 11 Pro is well over £1000. So this little phone certainly won't have any issues when it comes to processing power.
The iPhone SE has a 4.7inch multitouch display with a resolution of 1334 x 750. It has True Tone display and haptic touch. You will have no issues watching videos on this screen.
Possibly one of the most important things today on a phone are the cameras and the cameras on the iPhone SE don't dissapoint. The main camera on the back of the phone is a 12MP wide camera and the camera on the front is a decent 7MP. Thanks to the A13 Bionic chip you get loads of great features including portrait mode, optical image stabilization and more.
The camera on the back of the iPhone SE can record upto 4K video at 24fps 30fps or 60fps. You can also record video at 1080p and 720p HD.
You can buy the iPhone SE with either 64GB, 128GB or 256 GB of storage.
According to Apple, the battery in the iPhone SE is powerful enough to give you upto about 13 hour of video playback, 8 hours of streamed video playback and 40 hours of audio playback. This is about the same as the iPhone 8.
For the price of this phone it really is a great phone. You are getting features and hardware from some of the more expensive phones such as the iPhone 11 pro. Because it has the chip from the iPhone 11 pro you can expect this phone to be able to support newer versions of iOS as they come out. I also mentioned about the iPhone 8 when it comes to the battery.. Well theres a bit more to this. The iPhone SE looks very similar to the iPhone 8. So much so that cases for the iPhone 8 will also fit the iPhone SE.
Where have they saved money to make this phone so cheap? Well it is missing some features. For example the iPhone SE doesn't have FaceID, instead this phone has a classic physical home button at the bottom of the screen that is also used for touch ID.
TouchID works if your wearing a face mask... FaceID doesn't #justsaying.
The iPhone SE also doesn't support slow motion selfies not that many people will be bothered about that. It also doesn't support 5G, something I expect Apple will be adding to their new phones later this year or next year.
What Apple have done is taken all the useful features from their other phones and created an affordable phone that is packed with features. Would I buy this phone? Well my current iPhone is an iPhone XR so yeah i would probably consider it as a possible option.
The Apple iPhone SE starts at £419 for the 64GB model.
